The program is designed for external referrers such as fractional CTOs/CDOs, AI and data consultants, independent advisors, and trusted CSP/PE or broader ecosystem contacts who influence AI, data, or digital workplace initiatives at mid-market and enterprise companies.

We focus on net-new private-sector opportunities that fit Glean’s ICP: mid-market and enterprise companies with fragmented knowledge across tools and strong AI/productivity initiatives. The account must not be an existing Glean customer, there must be no active qualified opportunity, and no recent meaningful sales engagement with the buying center before your referral.

A qualified referral is when you introduce Glean to a net-new account in our ICP and your intro directly leads to a meaningful sales engagement with the buying center (e.g., CIO, CDO, VP-level sponsor) that was not already in motion via Glean.

For eligible referrals that turn into a net-new, private-sector closed-won deal, you earn 5% of first-year ARR on the initial order.

Referral fees are earned only after Glean receives payment from the customer and are paid in line with our standard payment cycles (typically within ~45 days of customer payment), under the terms of our legal-approved referral agreement. If a customer fails to pay, receives a refund, or terminates early, we may reduce, withhold, or claw back fees on a pro-rated basis as defined in the agreement.

No. Your job is to make a warm introduction; the Glean team will run the sales process (qualification, demos, negotiation, close). You still earn 5% of first-year ARR if the deal closes and the referral meets the program rules.

The referral team handles eligibility checks, logging in our referral tracker/CRM, and routing to SDRs/AEs. We aim to respond quickly (within about one business day) to confirm eligibility, and we’ll provide periodic updates as the opportunity progresses or closes.

Yes. Qualified referrers will sign a short, legal-approved referral agreement that covers payment terms, confidentiality, and standard commercial protections. This is required before any referral fees can be paid out.

Common use cases include developer productivity, contact center optimization, employee onboarding, customer onboarding, and customer support.
