Hey there! I’m Scott Kaufman, an Account Executive based in Chicago supporting our midwestern customers. My role is all about partnering with our customers to ensure they get real, measurable value from Glean. That means everything from mapping use cases and solutioning, to hands-on pilot work, onboarding, and ongoing support. No two days—and no two customers—are the same, which keeps things fun and fast-paced.
One of my favorite parts of the job is seeing that first “a-ha!” moment when it comes to customers discovering just how incredible Glean is. It happens with almost every customer: someone sends over a Slack or Teams screenshot showing a game-changing use of Glean, usually followed by all-caps messages and a flood of emojis. You can feel the excitement. Those moments never get old—and they’re exactly why I love my work. It’s also why I’m especially excited about our new community launch. It’s a great way to bring together customers, champions, and Glean employees in one place to collaborate, share what’s working, and push each other forward.
Game-changing community collaboration
The best ideas always come from the field. Our customers are always so incredibly creative—they’re building agents for workflows we never even considered. It’s shown me how powerful AI can be when tailored to a team’s specific needs, not just generic solutions.
Thankfully, our AI Outcomes Managers (AIOMs) are phenomenal at helping this process along. They’re rolling up their sleeves, diving into the weeds of a customer’s workflows, building agents that actually move the needle, and helping customers introduce internal AI best practices and self-sufficiency. For example, one customer built an all-star internal team that’s absolutely flying, using Glean to drive sales transformation—from onboarding to client need triage to RFP proposal completion. What used to take them weeks for many of these workflows now takes two days.
That’s why the Gleaniverse community is going to be a game changer. It gives everyone—whether you’re brand new or a Glean veteran—a space to collaborate, share best practices, and stay close to what’s new. The best part is seeing how customers are pushing the platform in directions we never imagined. AIOMs will play a huge role here, helping teams build smarter, faster, and more tailored agents by learning from each other.
Eventually, I’d love to see a crew of power users emerge—people who become the go-to experts in their industry or function. Imagine something like an “Agent Builders Guild”—folks who know Glean inside and out and use that knowledge to actively help others level up. On top of that, I’d love to see customers hosting their own meetups and events—sharing ideas, showing off what they’ve built, and building a real sense of community region by region. That’s how we, as a community, uncover “hidden playbooks”—industry-specific best practices and creative agent ideas that are currently buried inside different teams. When we can learn from each other, the whole ecosystem levels up.
Growing together, moving forward
Personally, I’ve always been a bit of a forum junkie, so I’m excited for something like this and ready to jump in! Whether that’s answering questions, tossing out tips, or just swapping stories, I love learning from others and sharing what I’ve seen work in the field.
More importantly, the Gleaniverse came at a really great time. The pace of change in AI is nonstop—if you’re not tapped in, you’re missing out and falling behind. This space is evolving fast, and there’s so much to learn from each other. Don’t be shy—ask questions, share wins, swap ideas. Some of the best ideas I’ve seen didn’t come from the top down—they came from people just trying stuff out. For example, Twitter and podcasts have been go-tos for learning as they’re an absolute goldmine for insights, especially when I’m on the move. Community sharing and learning is the best way to keep up in this day and age.
