Mingtao Chen

Mingtao Chen is a software engineer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, building products that make complex work simpler, faster, and more intuitive. He is currently a Software Engineer at Glean, where he contributes to AI-powered product experiences including interactive pages, dashboards, and image editing capabilities. Before joining Glean, he worked at TikTok and ByteDance, and earlier built front-end and workflow automation tools for office automation and ERP products in China. Across those roles, he has focused on usability, developer efficiency, and turning intricate systems into seamless user experiences. Mingtao holds a Master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University.
