Every company is spending more on AI, but few of them can prove it's working. That's not really an AI problem. It's that most companies don't have an accurate, current picture of how work happens inside their own walls — so when they try to fix something, they can't tell you what actually changed.

That's the gap Glean Transform is built to close. Glean Transform is a software solution that maps how work actually happens across your company, recommends what to change, and measures whether the change worked. It's built on the same enterprise activity graph — every doc, message, call, and CRM update — that already powers Glean's assistant and agents. Instead of taking the old approach to understanding company processes by hiring a consultant to interview a sample of employees and extrapolating from there, Transform mines what people are actually doing to understand how work really gets done.

Seeing how work actually happens

Glean already builds an individual activity map for every employee — what projects you're working on, what you've touched to move them forward, and what's still open. This is pulled directly from your calendar, Slack, docs, and more, all without you having to tell Glean yourself. Transform takes that same signal and aggregates it, anonymized, by job family, across an entire function.

Point it at a Sales team, and it surfaces the workflows eating the most time across every seller, like discovery work and use case scoping. Transform identifies the roles involved (account executives and business development folks), breaks the process into steps and sub-steps, and estimates the time spent on each, based on session duration, call length, and document activity.

From map to blueprint

A map by itself can’t drive you to your destination. For every step in a mapped workflow, Transform classifies what should happen to it next: automate, augment, redesign, connect to another system, or keep human-led. For example, actually speaking to a customer remains the domain of humans, since they're best at adapting on the fly and connecting with prospective customers. Pre-call research and the post-call write-up, on the other hand, are excellent candidates for automation.

When Transform identifies automation opportunities, it will proactively generate structured blueprints for agents and skills to take on the identified work, complete with in-depth instructions aligned with your company's processes. The resulting automations use the same tools, triggers, and approaches that are already active in your business. The goal here is not just to build agents, but to provide the leaders who are spearheading your company's AI transformation with a complete view of how work gets done, and a head start on making real impact.

Proving AI value, one step at a time

Every conversation we've had with customers about AI business transformation leads to the same issue: they need to prove it worked, and they need to show more than just an internal vibe shift, or an overall feeling that people are more productive.

This is where Transform stands out: we use the same task-level understanding of how work gets done to observe how work changed once a solution was deployed and to measure the impact that your automation had on the business at large. Here's how it looks, using our internal customer escalation agent: median resolution time dropped from 10.8 to 5.8 days, driven by agentic automation that diagnoses the key issues a customer is experiencing.

Where this is headed

What we've shown today is an early preview of what we're building. If you're interested in working with our Forward Deployed team to see how Transform can impact your business, reach out to your Glean representative, and let's see what we can build together.
