Malik Ismail

Malik Ismail is Head of Applied AI at Glean, where they lead forward-deployed, AI outcomes, and AI success teams to build and launch transformative 0-to-1 products for the world’s largest businesses. Their career spans engineering, strategy, consulting, venture investing, and product leadership, with experience at Glean, X—the Moonshot Factory, Emerson Collective, Boston Consulting Group, Cisco, and Hydro One. Malik brings a distinctive blend of AI, robotics, growth strategy, product development, customer discovery, partnerships, and executive communication, including sourcing an investment in Field AI that later reached a $2 billion valuation and helping launch Hack the Globe, Canada’s first social-impact hackathon. They hold an MBA and an MS in Environment and Resources from Stanford University, along with an Honors B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
